Custom-installed RadarThe single biggest advantage of a custom system is protection from laser-based radar, or LIDAR. This technology works very differently from normal radar, which uses radio waves. When you are driving up the road and someone in front of you gets hits by radar, your detector can pick up the radio waves that keep going past that particular vehicle. Laser works completely differently since it is a beam of light. At 1,000 yards away, the laser beam is approximately 30” wide. We hide the audible speaker behind the dash, and place any control option beautifully in an ergonomic spot.
